NATROX® Oxygen Wound Therapy

NATROX® Oxygen Wound Therapy is a medical device that uses the natural properties of oxygen to heal. The system consists of two main elements: the NATROX® Oxygen Generator and the NATROX® Oxygen Delivery System.

NATROX® Oxygen Generator (OG)

The NATROX® Oxygen Generator (OG) is a battery-operated device which delivers continuous pure humidified oxygen to the wound bed through water electrolysis. It is supplied with two rechargeable batteries and a charging kit, allowing the user complete freedom of movement. Each battery will last for a minimum of 30 hours; however, users should be advised to keep one on charge while using the other and changing them over daily.

NATROX® Oxygen Delivery System (ODS)

The NATROX® Oxygen Delivery System (ODS) is a sterile, single-use wound interface. Its “web” like design allows free passage of wound exudate into the secondary dressing while optimising the flow and diffusion of oxygen across the wound bed. It has a 1 m long (3.28 feet) thin, flexible tube which connects directly to the NATROX® Oxygen Generator. The NATROX® Oxygen Delivery System should be changed at each dressing change in accordance with good clinical practice. However, it can remain in place for up to 7 days, if clinically appropriate.

INFORMATION FOR CLINICIANS

Oxygen is critical to many of the processes required in wound healing. NATROX® Oxygen Wound Therapy allows you to prescribe topical oxygen in a very simple, safe and extremely convenient way directly to the wound bed.

INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS

NATROX® Oxygen Wound Therapy is a small portable device about the size of a mobile phone. Its function is to produce concentrated oxygen from the surrounding air, and pass this down a thin flexible tube directly to a wound that is failing to progress as expected.
